Reading and Writing Research Project Page 2013
May 22, 2013- Our classroom today was as busy as Santa's Workshop. Students worked individually and in small groups to publish their end-of-year research project. Some sat alone to get the most work done possible, and some sat with partners who may have the same topic or end product. Students have the choice of producing a poster, newspaper, brochure, or book to showcase all they've researched and learned. They continue to make 'writerly' choices such as...what kind of paper to use, how to clearly write their paragraphs, which diagrams and illustrations to use, what to call their newspaper or create a catchy title, how to best lay out their information, the best way to arrange their ideas and record them on tables of contents, and on and on... !
